One of our most recent notable projects was the installation of over 60 bathrooms at The Old Course Hotel in St Andrews.
This project was carried out in two different phases throughout 2005 and 2006. The 2005 part of the project was completed to a strict timetable as all work had to be finished prior to The Open Golf Championship being hosted at St Andrews that year.
The project was unique because of the sanitary ware, much of which was bespoke and shipped from the USA by the hotel owners. This presented us with the challenge of making it compatible to UK plumbing and hot water systems.
The sanitary ware from the Kohler and Mira range of products was all fitted on time and to specification and all the unique challenges encountered were overcome by the joint efforts of ourselves and the Kohler technical representatives.
Part of the second phase incorporated the fitting of sanitary ware in the Spa area of the hotel and the sanitary ware was again from the Kohler range and was some of the most exclusive and visually stunning ware we have ever installed.
Other projects of note which we have undertaken were two larger properties in St Andrews which were operating large inefficient boilers serving both the heating and the hot water systems.
One of the properties was unique in the fact that parts of the house were heated using a radiator system that was over 70 years old. Due to the character of the rooms, the customer did not want new pipes or radiators fitted. After discussions and a meeting between ourselves, a Worcester Bosch and Grundfos representative, a design was agreed upon and new boilers and controls were installed.

Feedback from both customers has been excellent with reports that the houses have never been warmer and that they are comforted with the concept of having two boilers instead of relying on one. This gives some flexibility in the event of a breakdown in one of the boilers, some of the load can be transferred whist spare parts are sourced.
